06/30/2008

Screwing tasks which are performed in difficult to access places or overhead quickly become demanding for the tradesmen. In this case, it is advantageous to have a light and compact battery screwdriver which is still powerful and durable. Milwaukee, the cordless tool pioneer, is now launching the C12 D on the market. This light and compact powerhouse tool can not only perform screwing tasks, it can also drill holes.

This compact lightweight tool weighs only 960 grams including the battery. The Milwaukee C12 D is very powerful and durable. With a speed of 500 rpm and a maximum torque of 19 Nm, it can screw in 120 screws measuring 5 x 60 mm with each battery charge. This is more than comparable tools achieve. The maximum drilling capacity is 10 mm in metal and 16 mm in wood. Power for the Milwaukee C12 D is supplied by a compact 12 Volt Lithium-Ion battery with 1.5 Ah.

The C12 D offers an ideal combination of performance and weight. This product was developed according to the special demands of professional users for compact and powerful machines. In addition to a longer battery service life and a longer battery running time, users were especially interested in ergonomic aspects such as a light weight, a compact design and ease of handling. The Milwaukee C12 D certainly satisfies these demands.

The ¼” Hex of the Milwaukee C12 D permits one-handed changing of drill or screwing bits with an E6.3 hexagonal profile.

A non-slip handle cover ensures a firm grip when working. A built-in LED also enables the user to work precisely in dark or unlit places.

The battery display permanently shows the remaining battery charge. Thanks to a variable motor drive, the craftsman has full control over the utilized screwing force. The stable motor casing made of metal protects the motor against damage.

The Milwaukee C12 D is sold with two 12 Volt batteries, a charger and a tool bag. Milwaukee also supplies additional accessories in the form of different drill bits for wood and metal. The stainless steel bits are available for the Milwaukee C12 D with diameters measuring between 3 and 6 mm. The wood and metal drilling attachments are supplied individually or as a set. Different screwing bits from other suppliers are also available with E6.3 shafts and lengths of up to 150 mm.
